本是警队明日之星的丁志摩(黄智贤饰)因家族遗传病一改人生态度，开始慢活来享受生命的每一刻，因受总督察林伟修(黄子雄饰)的赏识，志摩被调派整顿杂项调查小队，管理一班非等闲之辈。包括为人懒散但曾当过卧底的车奕晨(C君饰)、过度热心的阴谋论者，新紥师妹谷芷晴(黄心颖饰)、外号「战斗肌」的健壮暖男李俊基(郭子豪饰)、再加上脾气火爆的单身大肚婆龙丽莎(黄智雯饰)，凡属非刑事及不能归类的案件皆由杂项小队展开调查，丽莎不理志摩反对偏要选择处理死亡案件，俗称屍王的岗位。
二人在矛盾中反倒建立起互信，丽莎更鼓励志摩克服病情，但志摩对前女友徐咏思(滕丽名饰)的心结仍旧未解，只有沉默应对，不料，奕晨一次行动失误，连累丽莎身陷窘境，志摩竭力凭断续的记忆追寻丽莎……
