Retired school principal Pak Tsin-ngam (Chung King Fai) has somehow returned to Hong Kong from Canada. He goes to the familiar location of Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate, which has been redeveloped, to look for certain sopranos whose voices keep resonating in his head. Pak Suet-yee (Jacqueline Wong), his granddaughter and reclusive illustrator, promises him she is going to find those alumni who were members of St John Primary School Choir more than forty years ago. Luk Kui-nam (Nam) (Owen Cheung), detective agency employee and Suet-yee’s buddy-cum-fake husband, offers his help to divorcee Suet-yee. Alumni Tai Chin-leong  (Forte)(Hugo Ng) and Kam Ching-yee (Mimi Kung) and her husband are also willing to help. They eventually manage to find other members, namely, Chan Lee-cheung (Wong Ho) (Ram Chiang), Yau Chi-hung (Wanderer) (Joe Cheng), Shiu Wai-chiu (Chiu) (Sam Tsang), Yau Tak-kwong (Brother Blue) (Willie Wai), Luk Tung (Au Siu Wai) and Ng Kwok-leung (Dark) (Tsang Wai Kuen). They also complete the original lineup by finding music teacher Lui Choi-kam (Lo Koon Lan). It is a choir reunion. However, challenging life experiences have transformed the guys into pathetic middle-aged men. During the search for the sopranos, subtle changes occur in Suet-yee and Kui-nam’s relationship. The old guys are eventually revitalized. They are going to be in the spotlight by taking center stage again!

從加國偶然返港的退休校長白千巖(鍾景輝飾)，為了尋找一把腦海中浮現的女高音，重返已被清拆及重建的牛頭角下邨。孫女兼宅女插畫家白雪兒(黃心穎飾)答應為他尋回四十多年前聖若望小學合唱團的舊生。失婚的雪兒在任職偵探社好友兼「假丈夫」陸居男(Nam)(張振朗飾)，以及舊生戴展亮(大爆)(吳岱融飾)、甘靜怡(龔慈恩飾)夫婦幫助下，終把其他成員陳理璋(黃河)(蔣志光飾)、游志雄(遊子)(鄭敬基飾)、邵偉朝(阿蕉)(曾航生飾)、邱德光(憂鬱哥)(韋家雄飾)、陸同(歐瑞偉飾)、吳國亮(黑仔)(曾偉權飾)，還有昔日音樂老師呂彩琴(羅冠蘭飾)召集回來，重組合唱團。可是幾位受盡社會歷練的中佬，已變成一條條對生命失去期盼的老油條！在尋找女高音的過程中，雪兒與居男萌生微妙感情，中佬們也尋回對生命的熱情，重新站在台上發亮發光！

在軍閥割據年代，小小伍長狄奇（張衛健飾）胸無大志，靠蠱惑腦袋、三寸不爛之舌打諢二十年。一次因拯救大元帥蒙大同（ 蔡國慶飾），被連升七級，成為昇威鎮的土皇帝。讓三位盤踞鎮外的軍閥李細龜（張達倫飾）、麥先根（彭懷安飾）及佘南（古明華飾），氣得眼裡噴火，伺機對付。狄奇幸得三位出生入死的兄弟馬炭（洪永城飾）、羅義（徐榮飾）及冬來（李嘉飾）同心抗敵，還威迫利誘武器專才顧落蘆（曹永廉飾）加盟，五人在昇威鎮才能站穩陣腳。狄奇有三位姨太太葉天嬌（譚凱琪飾）、艾妞（楊秀惠飾）及張浣婉（蔡思貝飾），終日爭寵，浣婉更是革命黨元，狄奇明知其身份仍留她在身邊，隨時惹禍上身。軍營中有人野心勃勃，加上軍閥及日本勢力虎視眈眈，另狄奇陷入絕境⋯⋯ In the Warlord Era, DIK KEI (Dicky Cheung) is a lowly captain without any ambition. He has been using his crafty ideas and fast-talking to survive the past twenty years. Due to successfully saving Marshal MUNG TAI-TUNG (Tsai Kwok Hing), he is successively promoted seven grades and becomes a bully calling the shots in Sing Wai Town. Three warlords, namely, LI SAI-KWAI (Max Cheung), MAK SIN-GAN (Eddie Pang) and SHEH NAM (Jerry Ku), in an adjacent territory really hate their new neighbour and are plotting to wreak havoc. Fortunately, DIK KEI has three loyal brothers, namely, MA TAN (Tony Hung), LAW YEE (Tsui Wing) and TUNG LOI (Oscar Li) to help him handle the enemies. They even coerce weapons expert KOO LOK-LO (Raymond Cho) to join their team. The quintet eventually manage to gain a foothold in Sing Wai Town. DIK KEI has three mistresses, namely,  YIP TIN-KIU (Zoie Tam), NGAI NAU (Vivien Yeo) and CHEUNG YUEN-YUEN (Sisley Choi) DIK KEI puts himself in danger as he knows YUEN-YUEN is a revolutionary, but he still lets her keep him company. Some people are getting overly ambitious at the military camp. Also, warlords and Japanese forces are watching very closely, causing DIK KEI's situations to get increasing precarious.

Computer engineer LEE YAN-LONG (Hubert Wu) and his wife CHIU CHEUK-WING (Moon Lau) lead an ordinary happy life until one day they get kidnapped by thugs, who threaten to kill CHEUK-WING, unless YAN-LONG repays them $100 million within 72 hours! Bewildered, YAN-LONG reports it to the police, thus re-encounters his former roommate, now hot-blooded detective LEUNG HIU-YEUNG (Alvin Ng) and high school crush TONG MEI-LAN (Ashley Chu). With help from MEI-LAN, YAN-LONG uncovers that everything is related to the youth hostel where he stayed years ago, and the online trading platform he ran with other roommates has become a money laundering hub. They investigate those that stayed in the hostel in search of the culprit, triggering memories of the past, and all the evidence seems to point at CHEUNG TSZ-KIN (Telford Wong). As the deadline approaches and the truth is just one step away, YAN-LONG discovers that each of them including his own wife has a secret side to themselves......
