Love in the Moonlight 云画的月光 Synopsis

Love in the Moonlight is a fusion fantasy sageuk youth romance about Crown Prince Lee Young (Park Bo-Gum) who falls in love with his eunuch Hong Sam Nom (Kim Yoo-Jung). Unbeknownst to him, Sam Nom is actually a woman Hong Ra On who’s forced to cross-dress as a man by her mom to protect herself. Beside fighting with his feeling, unable to express it to Sam Nom, he has to deal with political issues thrown by Prime Minister Kim & his ‘minions’ and arranged marriage to Jo Ha Yeon (Chae Soo Bin) set-up by King Soonjo. Prime Minister Kim’s grandson Kim Yoon Sung (Jin Young) isn’t afraid of expressing his feeling ever since he finds out she’s a woman while Crown Prince Lee Young’s loyal bodyguard Kim Byung Yeon (Kwak Dong-Yeon) secretly has been helping Chief Eunuch Han (Jang-Gwang) to protect Ra On. It is a coming-of-age story and youth romance set during 19th-century Joseon Dynasty based on the novel Moonlight Drawn by Clouds which was first serialized on Naver in 2013 and consequently published as a five-part series of books in 2015. A domestic and overseas hit, Moonlight achieved peak audience rating of 23.3% in South Korea and received praise for its production, performances and music. The press referred to its popularity as “Moonlight Syndrome” as it topped topicality, content and brand reputation charts in and beyond its run.

Recipes to Live By 味想天开 Synopsis

Village boy Ding Yat-san (Tony Hung) was born with a golden tongue, which makes him able to distinguish bad and good tasting foods with one bite. Yat-san is also gifted at cooking but his father Ding Yat forbids him from cooking as every time he cooks a dish something bad happens to his father. Wanting to show off his skills Yat-san runs away to the city of Yeungchou to enter a cooking contest against famous chef Koi Siu-tin, (Hugo Wong). While lining up to enter the city Yat-san, meets and offends local bandit Sek Yau (Sisley Choi), when he cuts her in line. Sek Yau, who is dressed as a male to disguise herself is a small time bandit and drug dealer. Trying to hide incriminating evidence against her when imperial guards search her, Yau’s drugs are accidentally eaten by Yat-san’s pet pig. While trying to retrieve his pet pig from Yau, Yat-san gets entangled into Yau’s mess and soon Yau gets entangled into Yat-san’s mess. With only Yau to help him, Yat-san has Yau enter the cooking contest while he assist her. Yau and Yat-san’s contest dish gets them noticed as it is comparable to the former God of Cookery and soon Sui-tin’s father wants to know what is the connection between Yat-san and the former disgraced God of Cookery who was found guilty of treason when he was framed for food poisoning imperial officials.

Rogue Emperor is a 2016 Hong Kong pre-modern romantic-comedy television drama created and produced by TVB. It is a remake of TVB’s 1981 drama The Misadventure of Zoo, which starred Adam Cheng and Louise Lee as the leads.
